As I always clearly stated I have full support of any elected government to help the poor in the country especially the bumiputra. However, after many years of such policy. The hardcore poor is still there and you got to question its existence.
If there are 100 people are classified as poor. Of the 100 people if over 60% are bumiputra. Remaining 20% are Chinese and 10% are Indians. Isn’t a policy that help the poor already help the majority of the bumiputra?
In another equation, if the 68% bumiputra only hold 40% of equity stakes. Increasing it to 68% does it equal to all 68% distributed equally to 100% bumiputra? The question is the same that if 60% equity hold by Chinese and Indian. Does all 60% hold by all Chinese and Indian are equal? Or the rule of capitalism ruled that only 20% of population controlled 80% of the total assets? Again, the elite of may be 1% hold almost 99% of the total wealth of the country?
Only when mathematics is to be used. Malaysia should deserve to be in a better position.
